Tip #1: On a long road trip, go inside and eat when stopping for food, don't try and multitask by eating while driving. Look at it as a much needed break from the road!
Tip #2 – Did you know that driving while tired can be just as bad as driving while legally intoxicated? If you are going on a long trip, drivers should take turns often to avoid an irritable and fatigued driver. Also, if you plan on driving through the night, please get plenty of sleep before you leave on your trip, and whoever is riding shotgun - your job is to stay awake and keep your driver company!
Tip #3 – Designate someone in the car to manage the non-driving tasks, like texting and DJing, so that the driver is not doing either of these things behind the wheel.
Tip #4 – Speed and road rage don’t belong on your vacation! Leave early enough so that you can take your time, relax, and enjoy the ride!
Tip #5 - Wear your seat belt! Putting on your seat belt should be the first thing you do when you get in the car. Wearing a seat belt is the number one thing you can do to survive a crash!
